Part I: Power of Interpretation
The mind is extremely powerful. Most people don't realize the mental tools they already have. You can, and already have the faculty to visualize and surpass your own excellence. You've got to understand your mind in order to understand yourself. It's important for everyone to remind themselves that their life is the way it is because they chose it to be the way it is.
The "psychology of success", whether it is about achieving physical, financial, educational or spiritual results, requires you to understand yourself. Taking a philosophical approach to your life will help you realize true potential. All it takes is a moment to stop and think.
When we speak of self improvement we're really just talking about trying to match up the perception of ourselves with our actual potential. How we interpret our daily life have a profound effect on our body, health and general well being.
Realizing that you choose to create your life is the first step to taking control of your health. Acknowledge that catastrophic thinking is a self-fulfilling prophecy. So many people tend to portray a bleak and unfulfilling image of the future in front of themselves; one revolving around their fears and un-desires. In their own minds, they'll just leave this perception where it is. Never questioning or exploring it. They'll always wonder why they for some strange reason usually feel anxious about the future - their future.
The future is an extension, an unfoldment, of your thoughts, beliefs, and assumptions right now. And when these elements are intentionally changed, the representation of the future will change in your mind, as within your life. The notions and concepts you regularly embrace morph into perception. Perception morphs into belief. And belief morphs into physical, mental, and experiential "reality". The integral part of reality is a function of choice, not pre-destined fact. As such, you can make new choices, and change how you mentally position your concept of the future.
When we focus on the positive, the outcome will almost certainly become positive. You have to always remember what's really important in life. What will create real meaning, real purpose, real fulfillment, and ultimately real true, complete, and utter constant and perpetual happiness.
You've got to figure out which things that will actually make you a self-defined, "better" person. You need to define what you want your life to hold. Make doing what you love to do an exercise in personal growth. Stop and think. Remind yourself about your passion and your life. Take a few minutes to reflect on your ideal self. What sort of person do you really want to be?
Here's how you can deliberately make your suggestive notions and concepts shift. Twice daily - upon wakening up, then again before going to bed - sit yourself on the bed and ask yourself: What will my future look like? What will I be doing? What will I be feeling? Just freely and vividly envision images from the preceding questions - let your creativity weave into this representation.
Look back at things you wish to improve about yourself. Try to envision what will happen if you accomplish that. Understand why you want the things you want. Feel and affirm emotions that arise. While we all have a physical prowess in all of us to be outwardly strong and confident, we are not complete until we can feel truly balanced inside.
You'll find the more you do this exercise, the more decisive, natural, and explicit your visualizations will become. By viewing the big picture, and exploring self-improvement from this perspective, you'll steadily grow a feeling and sense of desired genuine, enthused expectancy. You'll be more excited and focused on what you want to make of your life. You'll find that your stress level will go down as you no longer see, and have, a reason to be worried about things.
To create a positive outlook you'll need to step back from problems and look at them from a distance. By looking at the grand scheme of things, you will be more likely to assess the world as it is. This will allow you to look on the positive side of things. By looking at the whole picture, you are able to learn from your experiences in life and to apply your knowledge for personal growth.
While these changes are taking place, remind yourself that nobody is "perfect" and that you can only do your personal best to accommodate what is going on. You'll have to accept that. People equate acceptance with hopeless resignation. That isn't the case. Just as we can have dissatisfaction without loathing, we can have acceptance without resignation. If you're going to embark on the noble path of personal betterment, do it with forethought and intelligence.
The next step is to understand that a negative state serves a specific purpose; to tell you that some needs remain unmet, whether physical, psychological, or spiritual. Recognize that you can interrupt these negative states and let it turn even in this moment.
