The Potter's Hand by Darlene Zschech
Take me, mold me, use me, fill me;
I give my life to the Potter's hand.
Call me, guide me, lead me, walk beside me;
I give my life to the Potter's hand.
Do you as a Christian really want God to shape, mold, fill, and use you in whatever way He desires?
It is a huge undertaking for most people to place their whole life into the hands of another, even if it is God Himself.
For many years, I was terrified of giving God every part of my life to control and do with as He desired. I felt that He would probably make me go to a far-off place doing something I really disliked. I thought I would hate every moment of it and have to force myself to make it through each day with my only consolation being that I was following His plan.
Thank goodness I came to realize what a distorted view I had of my wonderful Heavenly Father.
The more I got to know His Character, the more I realized that if it is really my desire to do His Will, I will truly be excited to do whatever job or calling He has for me. He will bring my desires into alignment with His when I give him total control.If you are a Christian, God has an awesome job for you to do. You will have to do a few things in order to be used by Him, though.
1. You must be willing to step out of your comfort zone and tread into the unknown. You might not be able to see the way, but God can and He won't lead you astray.
2. You must be willing to trust that God will always have your best interest at heart and that He wants to give you His Best.
3. You must be willing to obey Him in whatever He tells you to do. God is truly pleased when His Children desire to walk in total obedience to Him.
4. You must be willing to let the Holy Spirit convict you of things in your life that are not pleasing to God; then you must be willing to do whatever it takes to get rid of those things even though it might not be easy to do so.
Don't be afraid to place your life into the Potter's Hands and let Him mold and shape you into a Christian who can do great and mighty works for God's Kingdom. This kind of Christian life will never be boring or mundane because you will continuously be able to see God's Hand at work in your life.
It won't always be easy, but step out of your comfort zone and give Him control. He always wants to give you His Very Best.
Can You Let The Potter Mold and Use You As He Desires?
